About Me

Hey! My name is Summer, I'm 20 and I'm from the south of the UK.

I'm a huge fan of motorsport and Formula One which is probably the reason why you're here! My favourite team is Ferrari but I'm surrounded by a family of Mercedes supporters as well as my favourite drivers being Carlos Sainz, Charles Leclerc, Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri but I like all of them on the grid! I'm also very fond of Daniel Ricciardo, Sebastian Vettel, Kimi Räikkönnen, Mika Hakkinen and Jenson Button.

 

In the wider world of motorsport, I'm becoming a bigger fan of MotoGP and WEC with Valentino Rossi being highly loved by me in both of these categories along with his academy riders in the 2-wheel series. Even though I am someone that knows very little about mechanics and engineering, I'm slowly studying the history of racing and coming to terms with regulation changes over the decades and design methods for cars and bikes to increase speed and reliability. In this case, I must admit that I'm getting better at telling apart different Formula One cars just by their structure and colour combinations.

What's your earliest memory of motorsport?

"I couldn't say exactly but I remember going to watch BTCC at Silverstone where I must have been about 7 or 8 years old!"

What's your favourite motorsport quote?

"It definitely has to be 'Once something is a passion, the motivation is there' by Michael Schumacher. It's one of the quotes that encouraged me to make this website."

What's your most prized motorsport collectible?

"I must say it's changed a lot over the last few weeks; I have a signed copy of Jenson Button's 'How To Be An F1 Driver' book but I also now hold a Team WRT team card with Maxime Martin and Valentino Rossi's hand signature which was kindly gifted by a friend. That one sits pride of place in a frame above my desk!"

Where would you love to visit?

"It's got to be the Ferrari factory in Maranello or the Mugello circuit. Motorsport aside, I've always wanted to go to New York City."
